A young man of middling build and height with fair skin, dark of eye and hair. Xaiohai usually has a disgusted look on his face as he gazes at the luxury of other samurai and he is abrupt outside of courtly settings with others.
Xaiohai tends to favor purple silk over black wool or fur to the traditional purple and white. He proudly wears his family mon, Moto, over his heart to mind his actions, with the Clan mon on the right guiding his hand, and the Ide mon across his back, to proclaim his noble intentions of conversation over combat. He commonly wears an archers brace over his forearms, always ready for the thrill of the hunt.
Xaiohai, and the Empire at large, do not know who his father is, just that he was an honorable samurai, and it is a deep shame to him and his mother, Moto Xaiofan, that he was born a bastard.
Xaiohai has taken to the spear and bow readily, against his tutors advice. He tends to ride off alone and hunt game birds when given the slightest opportunity.
From what little he learned about his father from his mother, Xaiohai has also taken to sweet talking samurai-ko, taking after his father’s supposed habit of being a salacious flirt.
